Can You Trust God For The Finished Work He Did In Christ For You?

Messenger of Life: Pst Chinedum Ilechukwu, LLB(NIG)BL

Topic: Can You Trust God For The Finished Work He Did In Christ For You?

Bible Reference: 2nd Corinthians 5:19 (KJV)

You cannot serve Jesus and be disadvantaged. Nothing should ever come between you and your service to Jesus. No one has been able to describe wholly, completely and perfectly the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and this is why the subject is misconstrued in the body of Christ today.

The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary is so perfect that you were not in that transaction. It was done, perfected, finished and then you were brought in to enjoy the dividends without any requirements.

The sacrifice on the cross is so perfect and sublime that so many find it difficult to believe. God is not mad at sinners. He was but the moment he sacrificed Jesus, the deed was done because God realized that his madness on sinners could not solve any problem. He humanized himself in Christ in an unparalleled condescension and gave his life. God came, became man and died for man so he could save man. Glory to God!

Now the moment you believe in the perfection and completeness of that sacrifice, the Bible says you are saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Have you developed trust on God’s transaction of the finished work accomplished in Christ? Do you trust God? God wants you to trust Him. It is difficult to believe that the sacrifice of Jesus cannot be added to. God’s requirement is that you believe.

Have you developed enough trust in the transaction God accomplished in Christ? And that by one sacrifice those who believe in Christ are sanctified? Do you have enough trust to believe God on this?

God’s faithfulness is not dependent on your behavior(s), responses or works. Interestingly, his faithfulness is not also dependent on your belief. The Bible says “even if we believe not, he abides faithful for he cannot deny himself”. In other words, he lacks the capacity to withdraw his faithfulness.

Do you trust God enough? Is your trust absolute?
